Wauwatosa, Wis. – 1/4/2018 – The WaterStone Bank Foundation has announced a three year commitment of $15,000 per annum to Wisconsin Veterans Network (VetsNet) as its new Technology Sponsor. The sponsorship enables VetsNet to purchase new equipment, develop their network and continue to provide services more efficiently.

VetsNet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established and operated by veterans to serve at-risk veterans and their families. The organization connects vets to the benefits they are entitled to, using a broader definition of veteran to include anyone who served in the military. VetsNet is able to direct veterans to services using their network of local, state and national agencies. Services offered vary from home repairs and legal assistance to emergency relief and homelessness.

Quentin Hatfield, VetsNet’s executive director, said, “We are extremely grateful for the partnership with WaterStone Bank. We are, by definition, a network, and technology is key. This grant will allow us to upgrade our software and hardware to handle future expansion of services.”

The WaterStone Bank Foundation funds a range of programs that benefit four main areas of focus including education, women and children, community development and veteran’s initiatives.
