WaterStone Bank Announces Two Promotions

Wauwatosa, Wis. – 3/9/2021 – WaterStone Bank has announced two promotions within its retail banking department.

Wendy Rice has been promoted to vice president, retail support. Rice will oversee the bank’s deposit servicing and fraud departments, as well as the bank’s deposit systems department. She will also work to develop a quality control department that will work closely with the bank’s operations team.

Rice has been with WaterStone Bank for 24 years and most recently served as assistant vice president, regional manager. Prior, she was the community president of the bank’s Oak Creek/27th Street branch from 2011-2015, and managed the bank’s Waukesha branch from 2004 to 2011.

Shae Maclin has been promoted to director of retail branch banking. Maclin will oversee the bank’s branch strategy and execution. Maclin has been with WaterStone Bank since 2018 and previously served as the bank’s vice president, sales empowerment officer where she oversaw the bank’s sales culture within its retail network. Maclin has over 25 years of experience in sales management, sales training, sales coaching, and analytics. Maclin earned her BBA from Indiana University-Northwest and her MBA from Cardinal Stritch University.

While she isn’t working, Maclin enjoys traveling with family and friends. She appreciates Milwaukee’s diversity and savors the ethnic foods and culture it has to offer. Maclin hails from a family of bankers, collectively working over 100 years in the industry between her husband, her mother, and herself. An active member of the community, Maclin is involved with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Professional Dimensions, Susan G. Komen, and Lotus Legal Clinic. She resides in Oak Creek.
