WAUWATOSA, Wis. – 5/6/2021 – WaterStone Bank has announced the launch of a contest in which members of the community can submit creative ideas for the bank’s new mascot.

“As we celebrate our 100th Anniversary this year, we invite the community to continue being a part of our history by helping us create a new mascot,” said Doug Gordon, President/CEO of WaterStone Bank. “We hope your creativity will be a part of our next 100 years.”

Starting Thursday, May 6 until Friday, June 4, individuals can submit mascot sketches and ideas for the bank to consider. The first 100 entrants to turn in their submission to WaterStone Bank will be eligible to receive an artistic gift valued up to $15. If a winning submission is chosen, the artist will receive a $500 WaterStone Bank gift card and the creative idea will go on to be the community-facing mascot for the bank.

Submissions should include a full-color illustrated sketch of a mascot (hand or digitally drawn), a name for the mascot, and the artists’ name and contact information. Individuals who submit ideas should ensure the submission is appropriate for all ages.

Submissions can be dropped off at any of WaterStone Bank’s 14 branch locations, scanned in to marketing@wsbonline.com, or mailed to WaterStone Bank’s marketing department at 11200 W. Plank Ct., Wauwatosa, WI 53226. Submissions must be received or postmarked by June 4, 2021 to be considered.
